Cancellation should be understandable before you book—not discovered afterward.
This policy explains the baseline rules for Baostad subscriptions, courses, sessions, and institution arrangements. A booking or order form may include more specific terms, which will be shown before you commit.
Effective date: July 3, 2026The practical summary
- Cancelling a subscription stops its next renewal; access ordinarily continues through the paid period.
- Every paid course or session must show its applicable cancellation terms before booking.
- If a provider cancels and cannot offer an acceptable alternative, you may choose a refund or equivalent credit.
- Mandatory withdrawal, refund, repair, price-reduction, and charge-dispute rights remain unaffected.
1. Scope
This policy applies to payments made for Baostad subscriptions and services booked through Baostad. Institution order forms, provider-specific offers, promotional credits, and services purchased outside Baostad may have separate terms. If a specific term conflicts with mandatory law, the law controls.
2. Subscription cancellation
You may cancel a recurring individual or professional subscription before its next renewal. Cancellation prevents future renewal charges and ordinarily takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period.
- You retain plan access through the current paid period unless access is restricted for safety or misuse
- Fees already paid are not automatically prorated solely because you stop using the plan
- A refund is provided where required by law, where an unauthorized or duplicate charge is confirmed, or where Baostad expressly approves an exception
- Keep the cancellation confirmation and review your next statement
3. Courses and scheduled sessions
The cancellation window, refund amount, rescheduling options, and no-show rules for a course or session must be displayed before purchase. Those booking terms form part of this policy. Review the provider, date, time zone, delivery format, and cancellation terms before confirming.
4. Cancellation by a learner, parent, or client
When you cancel within the window displayed at booking, you receive the refund or credit stated there. A late cancellation or no-show may be non-refundable because professional time or course capacity was reserved, except where law requires otherwise or exceptional circumstances are accepted.
5. Cancellation by a teacher, consultant, or institution
If the provider cancels, it should offer a reasonable reschedule or equivalent service. If no acceptable alternative is available, the payer may choose a refund to the original method or an equivalent Baostad credit. Repeated provider cancellations may trigger review or platform restrictions.
6. Courses already started and digital materials
Refund eligibility may decrease after a course begins, live sessions are delivered, materials are accessed, or digital performance starts with any consent required by law. The applicable terms must be disclosed before purchase. Rights for faulty, unavailable, or materially misdescribed digital services remain available where required.
7. Institution plans
Institution cancellation, seat reductions, renewal, implementation fees, and service credits are governed by the signed order form or service agreement. If no special term applies, cancellation prevents the next renewal but does not erase charges already committed for the current agreement period.
8. Promotions and credits
Promotional credits are generally non-refundable, have no cash value, and may expire according to the offer. When a purchase used both money and credit, an approved refund is ordinarily returned in the same proportions unless law or the offer requires another method.
9. Billing errors and unauthorized charges
Report duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charges promptly. We may ask for the transaction identifier and limited information needed to investigate. Do not send full payment-card details by email. You may also have charge-dispute rights through your payment provider or applicable law.
10. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are normally sent to the original payment method. Processing time depends on the payment provider, banking network, currency, and location. Baostad will confirm when a refund is initiated but cannot control the time a financial institution takes to post it.
11. Exceptional circumstances
We may consider documented emergencies, serious illness, technical failure attributable to the service, safety concerns, or other exceptional circumstances. Review is case-by-case and does not guarantee a refund beyond contractual or legal rights.
12. Abuse of refunds
We may reject requests involving fraud, fabricated evidence, repeated consumption followed by refund demands, chargeback abuse, or attempts to bypass booking terms. This does not limit a good-faith dispute or any non-waivable legal right.
13. Statutory rights
Local law may provide cooling-off, withdrawal, conformity, refund, repair, price-reduction, or termination rights, especially for online purchases and digital services. These rights vary and may include exceptions once a service or digital performance begins with informed consent. This policy does not replace or reduce mandatory rights.
14. Policy changes
We may update this policy for future purchases. The version shown when you purchased generally governs that transaction unless a later version is more favorable or a legal change must apply. Material changes will receive reasonable notice.
