Use Baostad responsibly, fairly, and with respect for every role.

1. Who may use Baostad

You must be legally able to enter these Terms or use Baostad with authorization from a parent, guardian, or institution where required. If you use Baostad for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind or act for it. Institution and administrative roles cannot be self-assigned.

2. Accounts and security

Provide accurate, current information and keep it updated. You are responsible for activity performed through your account except where the law provides otherwise.

• Use your own account and do not share passwords or authentication tokens
• Notify Baostad promptly if you suspect unauthorized access
• Complete required email, identity, professional, or organizational verification
• Do not create accounts to evade restrictions, impersonate others, or misrepresent qualifications

3. Roles and learning relationships

Access depends on your approved role and relationship to the relevant learner or institution. You may use information and tools only for the purpose for which access was granted. Consultant access is student-granted and student-scoped. Parent visibility requires an approved family relationship. Institutions must assign roles responsibly and remove access when it is no longer needed.

4. Platform and professional services

Baostad provides technology for discovery, communication, learning management, scheduling, progress, and related workflows. Teachers, consultants, and institutions may independently provide professional or educational services. The identity of the provider, scope, price, cancellation rules, and any additional terms should be displayed before booking or stated in an applicable agreement.

5. Prices, subscriptions, and payments

Prices and billing periods are shown before you commit. You authorize the applicable charges and taxes through the offered payment method. Subscriptions renew only as disclosed at purchase and may be cancelled before the next renewal. Institution pricing may be governed by an order form or service agreement.

6. Bookings, cancellations, and refunds

Course and session cancellations follow the terms displayed for that booking. Provider cancellation, missed sessions, rescheduling, and refund eligibility may differ by service. Nothing in these Terms removes a refund, repair, price reduction, termination, or other remedy that applicable law requires.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use Baostad in a way that harms people, learning relationships, or the service.

• No harassment, discrimination, grooming, sexualized conduct involving minors, threats, fraud, or exploitation
• No unauthorized access, scraping, security testing, malware, spam, or disruption
• No publication of private information without authority or consent
• No academic dishonesty, credential fraud, deceptive reviews, or misrepresentation
• No unlawful content or conduct that infringes another person’s rights

8. Content you provide

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give Baostad a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the service according to your settings and relationships. You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions.

9. Baostad materials

The service, design, software, branding, and Baostad-provided materials are protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, Baostad grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. No ownership rights are transferred.

10. Privacy and safety

Our Privacy Policy describes how personal information is handled. Trust & Safety guidance explains identity, access, reporting, and younger-learner boundaries. These policies form part of the service rules. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than relying on Baostad support.

11. Third-party services

Baostad may rely on payment, email, hosting, map, or other third-party services. Their own terms and privacy notices may apply. Baostad is not responsible for third-party services beyond the responsibility that applicable law places on us.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Baostad and request account closure. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect members, investigate misuse, comply with law, address non-payment, or enforce these Terms. When practical and lawful, we will provide notice and an opportunity to respond. Proportionate data access or export may remain available where required.

13. Service availability and changes

We work to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may evolve, be replaced, or be discontinued. Material changes affecting a paid service will receive reasonable notice and any remedies required by law or an applicable agreement.

14. Responsibility and legal limits

Each party remains responsible for its own acts and legal obligations. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Baostad is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for independent professional advice and conduct outside Baostad’s reasonable control. No provision excludes liability or consumer remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

15. Disputes and governing rules

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve concerns informally. Governing law, courts, arbitration, or other dispute procedures may be stated in an order form or service agreement. Otherwise, applicable mandatory law and the rules connected to Baostad’s legally registered operator determine these questions. Consumers may retain the right to bring claims in their place of residence where law provides it.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the service, business model, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide reasonable additional notice for material changes. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance only where legally valid.

17. General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply where legally possible. Delay in enforcement is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without permission; Baostad may transfer them as part of a legitimate business reorganization with appropriate notice and protection of your rights.
